The City of Anaheim will capture the eyes of the world and have everyone talking baseball on Jan. 1, with the City’s entry in the 2010 Tournament of Roses® Parade. “All-Star Dreams,” the title of the City’s float, will represent Anaheim as host city of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game®, scheduled for July 13, 2010 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
The float will feature a stylistic presentation of Angel Stadium of Anaheim, sporting the All-Star Game logo and proudly displaying the pennants of each of the 30 Major League Baseball clubs. The haloed “A”, prominent at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, will loom high above the stadium replica. Among many elements, the float will appropriately feature red roses, palm trees and of course, the oranges of Orange County. In addition, Major League Baseball will debut its specially designed artwork for the 2010 All-Star Game through floral and organic matter depictions on the City of Anaheim’s float.
The float decorating process is a fun and unique experience for families and groups to enjoy. Anyone interested in volunteering to decorate the “All-Star Dreams” float can visit: http://www.anaheim.net/section.asp?id=200
