Testing Begins!

Beginning tomorrow, my class starts taking the California STAR test. This test is taken by all students in grades 2-12. Because I am at a year-round school, our testing schedule is earlier than the rest of the state. There are three tests that my class will be given: Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. Each test will be given over a two day period.

I am strangely calm at this time. I think it is because I have done my best teaching this group of students, and I can't do any more at this point. It is a lower group of students than I've ever had. My expectations are high for them, but I am realistic, privately, about how they will do.

Send up a silent prayer for these 29 kids, that they might do their very best and have success.
