Seal and Lupus

The singer, Seal, who is married to Heidi Klum, has just started talking about the scars on his face. He has a form of lupus, called Discoid Lupus Erythematosus. I thought this was very interesting! I always thought he had severe acne, or was in a terrible accident.

Nine out of 10 people who develop lupus are women, and most women develop lupus between the ages of 15 and 44. Hispanic, Asian, Native American and African American women are also two to three times more likely to develop lupus than Caucasian women.
