It's A Small World After All

I got a call yesterday on my cell, while I was on my way to referee a game in Fountain Valley. The familiar voice said "Guess who this is and where I am?"

Well, my caller ID on the cell let me know it was Kevin, but I couldn't guess where he was. He then said "look behind you!" He had just turned out of a gas station on Brookhurst, headed to his own softball game at Mile Square Park, and was literally the car right behind me!

What a small world, and makes me wonder who we "just miss" due to the difference of a minute here or there?!

Great coincidence!
Along a similar vein...I just returned from weekend with girlfriends, and I mentioned that it would be intriguing to find out from the people in the passing cars the story of where they've been or are going.

I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago. I was driving up Magnolia on the way to a doctors appointment and I was planning on going to a friends house afterwards to lend them a movie DVD. Who should be next to me on Magnolia but the wife, so i yelled and she pulled over and I passed off the DVD. Strange is right.
