Moyna Handbags

Recently, I became aware of a new line of handbags that were called Moyna handbags. THAT name got my attention! I went to the website and learned about this entrepreneur, named Moyna, and the story of her line of handbags. The image shown is one of her evening bags. Here is her story from her website:

Moyna Singh's experience with artisans and Asian handicraft dates back to 1985 when she was closely involved with the design and manufacture of handcrafted home accessories in India. Her experience with handicraft led her to start a business in the United States devoted to designing and manufacturing handcrafted fashion accessories such as handbags, scarves, headbands and barrettes, and accessories for the home. Moyna handbags and fashion accessories are individually hand beaded and embroidered by skilled artisans in India, using traditional beading techniques. In most cases, the beading is done on 100% silk fabric. Glass beads have carefully been selected so that their colors and shapes complement the fabric and design of the pieces. All of MOYNA products are exclusive and hand made. Any apparent variations in the design are characteristic, and lend uniqueness to the piece.

Yeah, Mom! The next "official" blogger. These handbags are beautiful...almost as beautiful as the Moyna we know :)
